Highlight of our Scotland holiday
This has to be one of the major highlights of our NC500 trip. The people who run the place are so friendly and the two chaps who took out the boat were friendly, approachable and very knowledgable. We were lucky enough to see some seals, porpoise and sea eagles. The Summer Isles are really something else. Do this trip if you can. Amazing!

Wonderful Wildlife Boat Trip
Even if we hadn’t seen any wildlife, it would have been worth the trip as we learnt so much about the local area, the history and various conservation projects. Having said that, we were privileged to have dolphins come and ride our bow wave, saw an enormous Sea Eagle chick resting on a rock, glimpsed an occasional Minke Whale as well as plentiful seals and porpoises. The commentary was highly amusing which was an added bonus. We all had a wonderful afternoon on the boat.

A Must Do
This was a real treat and I would definitely recommend it to anyone as it is. certainly worth it. As well as the fantastic scenery the commentary was fascinating and covered issues such as the local area, wildlife, geology and history.

Fantastic Boat Trip
Brilliant boats trip past the Summer Isles from Ullapool. Our guide’s knowledge of the natural and cultural history of the area was outstanding but conveyed with a sense of humour, in a manner which was accessible to all including natural history experts and neurodiverse children and adults. The wonderful environment of the North of Scotland and the animals that live in its waters were treated with respect by the captain. We were lucky enough to see a minke whale, a pod of dolphins and seals on a trip. A must for all nature lovers.

Fantastic trip - highly recommended
What a fantastic experience! From the minute I booked, with the very friendly lady at the booking booth, to the minute I came off of the boat it was brilliant. It was safe and well planned, the route was interesting and we were lucky to see a minke whale and a dolphin as well as lots of sea birds. We had lots of commentary with interesting facts about the area and marine life (and some jokes!) I would love to come back and would definitely recommend this trip.

Once In A Lifetime Trip
What an amazing experience. I wasn’t expecting much to be honest as, in my experience, wildlife often doesn’t show up on demand but Noel and Karl were obviously very experienced and knew what they were looking for. The weather was good so they pushed the extent of the trip to its limits following Gannets in the hope that they’d lead us to something. We encountered a large pod of 10-12 dolphins as well as a humpback or fin whale which moved around the ship surfacing 3 or 4 times alongside the dolphins. The whole encounter lasted around half an hour - totally amazing. Ive never seen anything like it in my life - just brilliant. On top of this Noel gave a-lot of historical information about the local area on the journey to and from The Summer Isles in a relaxed and comical style - he’s great at the chat that one - all in all a priceless afternoon that I’ll never forget. Thanks guys.

Best sea trip ever
Brilliant , the guy narrating knew his stuff and had a good idea where the dolphins , porpoises and Minkie whale would be . We saw them all and sea birds, a good way to spend two hours, Can’t rate it highly enough if you are anywhere near Ullapool this is a must.
